The Pond
The Pond is part reality and part whimsy. The mountains on the right are the Flat Irons of Boulder, Colorado with Devil's Thumb protruding. The trees and sky are found at Four Mile Creek in North Boulder. The pond itself is from my imagination. A quiet grassy park where people picnic, ride their bikes and relax exists by the creek that runs through the trees. It was my inspiration for this scene and a place I spent my time.
The trees grow from the waters of Four Mile Creek and the waters flow from melting snow in the mountains.
Occassionally, I'll bet it can over flow the banks to make my little spot of calm a reality.
