To The Point
To The Point is a vision straight out of my mind. It was inspired by a variety of sources which include: Devil's Tower Wyoming, Hawaii's Kauai, the South China Sea and the Rosetta Stone.
The image is not a photograph. I shaped the hills and mountain with 3D software, and texture mapped the various rock strata that were created before hand with my paint program and some of my rock photography.
I have paddled a canoe across this water a hundred times in my mind. This image lets me travel further than most.
I consider it my signature piece and there are only 8 full size prints left in the limited edition of 12.
